Preface of Electronic Proceedings

   The theme of the conference this year is ‘Advancing and Fostering Mathematical Sciences and Education through Technology,’ highlighting the continued efforts of teachers and researchers in bringing technology into education and sciences. Contributions from the international mathematics and mathematics education communities numbered over 120 at this writing (not counting plenary speeches and tutorials). Of these, 50 full papers are reviewed by peers and 32 are recommended by the editorial board to publish in the Proceedings of ATCM 2006. The review process is rigorous and supported by the International Program Committee members and external reviewers, contributing to the high quality of the proceedings.
